After Thresh became a vampire, he had a bit of a psychotic episode. The stress from him being turned, ontop of his troubling past, and him not being allowed to die (david turned him to save him from a deadly wound) eventually made him snap. He went wondering one night to feed and stumbled onto a house where a young woman lived with her daughter. After observing them, he noticed pictures of them with his father. Coming to the conclusion that this is where his father,Chal, would dissapear to during the day (returning home at night to beat on him and his mother) he went to the house and inquired as to who the man in the pictures were. The woman invited him in and explained that he was her husband,Chal, who had gone missing. At this point Thresh was beyond any rational thought and was so enraged he lost it. When the woman returned with some tea for him, she was horrified at the sight she saw; Thresh had killed her daughter. When she tried to run he apprehended her and started to kill her, very slowly. All the while telling her how she was nothing but a no good whore and that she deserved to die. How her daughter didn't deserve to be born let alone live, and explained that he already had a family and had no buisness to go out and aquire another one. He also claimed he did them a favor, because in his heart he believed it was only a matter of time before Chal did the same to them.

After he killed them, he proceded to set the house on fire. Looking around at what he did, he broke into a bit of a psychotic laughing fit. He sat on the floor, letting the flames surround him, again, wanting to die. David found him a few minutes later, horrified at what he saw and asked him what had happened; to which Thresh explained in gruesome detail.

Afterwards, Thresh was confined to a cell. David was the only one allowed to see him and 'counsel' him in a matter of speaking. Thresh eventually learned to control his anger (for the most part) and managed to silence his demon's enough so that he was 'civilized' and able to be around other people. Though there are times when Thresh goes off and sometimes gets angry, he's still generally a decent guy.
